The Alzheimer's Project provides comfort, support, and assistance to persons with memory disorders and their caregivers across the Big Bend area of Florida. They offer Respite Services, Caregiver Support Groups, Educational Courses for Caregivers, and Counseling.

The Department of Elder Affairs administers programs and services for elders across the state of Florida through 11 Area Agencies on Aging, which operate as Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs). These ADRCs function as a single, coordinated system for information and access to services for all Floridians seeking long-term care resources. Home to one of only 13 designated Memory Disorder Clinics in Florida, funded through a grant from the Department of Elder Affairs. As part of the state’s Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative, they provide the highest level of care for patients and families across the Big Bend who are affected by memory disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
